Siding to Slab Issues
This Hardi Plank lap siding on the exterior wall that is not properly fastened should also be at least
3/4" - 1" down past the bottom of the wall frame on the slab foundation. Many problems could occur
if not corrected such as moisture related problems, air infiltration, pest infiltration along with wood
destroying organism issues.
You could actually see the bottom plate (sole plate) of the wall frame in some areas on this
